Roots: My roots are here in Kyle where I have lived as an engaged citizen and tax payer for over 50 years. I raised my family here, managed and operate a local small business and have been a longtime volunteer in the community. I have the experience, ability, focus and maturity to lead Kyle residents. Our city needs to maximize the rapid growth mode we are in and not deal with spiraling property taxes and congested roads.

Respect: I respect the hard-earned value of your property tax dollars. I will fight to restore an economic balance that too often gives developers and businesses a pass from their fair contribution as the people shoulder a disproportionate burden. Kyle is exciting, vital and on a fast growth track with a desirable target population. We don’t have to give it all away to prosper!

I will address both new and ongoing infrastructure improvements and traffic congestion solutions to provide what is actually needed without undue extravagance.

I support a clean environment and recognize a stewardship role in which we should strive to do no harm while working to protect the integrity of our unique ecosystem at the gateway to the hill country.

Experience: I served as a Kyle City Council member from 2004 to 2007 continually advocating for managed growth and always supporting citizens before developers. I am very familiar with the city charter and the unique form of home rule government it provides and well understand the actual role elected officials play in the day to day management of the city. As a small business owner, I am very experienced with the mature focus and discipline required to manage a realistic budget that must be both adequate and affordable.

Service: I want to be your mayor for no other purpose than to serve the people of Kyle and I will be accountable to the Kyle residents I serve. I will champion accountability in city spending and the tracking and progress of city projects. I believe in transparency and access to me, the city and city services. If a resident has a question or concern, they deserve an answer. I will always seek citizen input in advance of any major actions contemplated. This is our city!

We are undeniably in a period of rapid societal change. I don’t know the answers to what lies ahead, none of us do. However, I promise to do my very best to truly serve the people of Kyle with honesty and integrity. Together we will create a future better than any of us individually can possibly imagine. We are all in this together.
